Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu lost the election

In Indian Punjab, Congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu lost the election. According to Indian media, Navjot Sadhu was defeated by Aam Aadmi Party candidate Jeevan Jyot Kaur from East Amritsar.

In the election, Sadhu lost by 6000 votes in which Sidhu got 32929 votes and his rival got 39520 votes. Congress leader Sidhu had won the 2017 Lok Sabha elections from the same constituency with 42,000 votes. Navjot Sidhu said that people’s choice is never wrong, the voice of the people is the voice of God, we should humbly accept their decision.
