The United States has sent a notice to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres to formally withdraw from the World Health Organization. A senior Trump administration official says the resignation was given a year in advance Therefore, the United States cannot secede from the WHO until July 6, 2021. The White House also confirmed the notice to formally withdraw from the World Health Organization.
Donald Trump has also accused the World Health Organization of aiding China. The United States is the largest donor to the World Health Organization.
