US fast-food giant Wendy’s is set to launch in Ireland, creating around 300 jobs over the next few years. The company has partnered with Corrib Oil, a service station and energy company, which will serve as Wendy’s franchise partner in the country.
Under the agreement, Corrib Oil plans to open ten Wendy’s restaurants across Ireland between 2025 and 2027. The initial locations, which will be announced in early 2025, will include both standalone Wendy’s outlets and new branches integrated into existing Corrib service stations.
The recruitment process for the 300 new jobs will begin in early 2025, as Wendy’s prepares to introduce its signature offerings to Irish consumers. Known for its made-to-order square hamburgers, as well as chicken and salad dishes, Wendy’s has committed to sourcing 100% of its beef from certified Irish suppliers, with plans to source other ingredients locally wherever possible.
Headquartered in Dublin, Ohio, Wendy’s operates over 7,200 restaurants globally, with more than 1,200 of those outside the United States. The company views Ireland as a key market for future growth.

Corrib Oil, which currently operates 38 convenience stores across 17 counties, is also expanding its workforce. The company employs 1,150 people, a number that will rise to 1,450 with the first phase of its Wendy’s partnership.
