British Airways has announced that it will discontinue the use of all its Boeing 747 aircraft due to a severe reduction in air travel. The British airline has 31 Boeing 747 which is the largest number of any airline in the world.

Travel bans related to coronavirus have severely affected the business of airlines around the world. Boeing 747s make up 10 percent of British Airways’ fleet of passenger planes. The Boeing 747 is beautiful and different from the rest of the planes. The aircraft has a half-century-long history of perfect service, but at least as a passenger aircraft, it is outdated. The British airline says it will now use more modern aircraft, such as the Airbus A350 and Boeing 787, which use less fuel. The airline hopes that this will help it achieve its 2050 targets for carbon emissions.
